Dr. Eileen M. Manalo graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and took her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital.
She was a visiting consultant at the National University Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore and National Hospital at Hanoi where she took further studies in Assisted Reproductive Technology. She underwent training for robotic surgery at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. More recently, she also completed her masters degree in Biotechnology of Human Assisted Reproduction and Embryology, at The University of Valencia, Spain.
Dr. Manalo is currently a Professor VII at the Department of OB-Gyn of the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, where she served as the section chief of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility from 2007 to 2013 and from 2015 to 2018, and Chief of Service from 2013 to 2015. She is a founding member and was the president of the Philippine Society for Reproductive Medicine in 2009. She served as the youngest president of the Philippine Society for Climacteric Medicine in 2008. She was a former member of the board of trustees of the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society. Currently, she is serving a three-year stint as board member of the Philippine Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a founding member and vice-president of the newly established Philippine Society for Fertility Preservation. She is currently also an associate editor of the official journal of the Asia Pacific Initiative on Reproduction (ASPIRE), Fertility & Reproduction (F&R), and a member of the scientific committee of the ASPIRE and the International Federation of Fertility Societies (2019 to 2022). She also served as Board of Trustees in the Philippine Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy from 2013 to 2018.
She has contributed to several clinical practice guidelines on the Menopause, Infertility, Endometriosis, Myomas and Adenomyosis, PCOS and Abnormal Uterine Bleeding.
She has delivered many local and even international lectures on Recurrent Pregnancy Losses, Repeated Implantation Failures, Endometriosis and Adenomyosis, PCOS, Premature Ovarian Insufficiency and the Menopause, and ART & Gynecologic Endoscopy.
